“People make becoming a landlord so attractive and everyone say it is the path to riches but I did not like one bit being a landlord. I bought an investment property because I was looking into making some money on the side and I bumped into an agent that convinced me to pull the trigger. He recommend me a property management company who I ended signing a contract with because I didn’t want to go trough the process of finding tenant , collecting rent, fixing issues, etc. Everything was going fine for the first 6 months  and I was getting $400 sent to me every month so I was getting ready to get another property with the cashflow of the first one. But, one day I got a bill one for about $2,500  about some repairs that have been done to the house. Nobody let me know about this until when it was all said and done. When I reached out to the management company, they said they had sent me an email about it and ask me to reply if I didn’t want them to go through with these repairs. You would think that you will get a call for problem with type of price tags but I guess not. This completely wiped out all the cashflow made from this house and they try to explain to me how a landlord need multiple property for this reason. Anyway, after similar things happened couple more time within that same year. I ended up firing them and I didn’t want to be a landlord anymore. The realtor who sold me the house ended up putting me in contact with Paul who was a manager atHomes4dinero and they were able to take the house from my hands at a fair price. I guess being a landlord as a side hustle not so simple as they make people believe. I will recommend H4D.”
